Structual Laminated

Using the SentryGlas® interlayer which is five times stronger and up to 100 times stiffer than conventional laminating materials. With this kind of strength, SentryGlas® interlayers help create stronger laminated glass that protects against storms, impacts and powerful blasts.

Besides its strength, SentryGlas® retains its outstanding clarity, even after years of service, to provide superior, lasting beauty for laminated glass whatever the application – from floors and stairs to balcony rails and minimally supported glass canopies.

SentryGlas® interlayers are used in laminated glass to help architects and glazed building system manufacturers meet Australia’s need for security, energy efficiency, safety and maintenance ease. It helps builders, architects and designers do more with less, creating innovative new spaces, all whilst providing greater protection for building occupants.

Toughened

Toughened or tempered glass is a type of safety glass. Toughened glass is made by heating annealed (float) glass uniformly through a furnace to temperatures exceeding 600 C. The annealed (float) glass is then transferred to the quenching chamber of the furnace where it is rapidly cooled.

Low Iron

Low-iron glass, also known as extra-clear glass is manufactured by reducing the amount of iron in the molten glass formula. This type is more transparent than regular glass, and doesn't have that greenish tint. In fact, modifying the iron content can increase the light transparency by 5 to 6 percent.

Acid Etched

Acid-etched glass refers to annealed glass that has been treated with hydrofluoric acid to give its surface a frosted look. Entire sheets of glass can be acid-etched or small sections can be treated to add specific designs.

Acid-etching is seen as a great alternative to sandblasting because the finished surface is smoother to the touch and easier to maintain. The glass can also better withstand stress and stay smudge-free longer. Because of its durability, acid-etched glass can be cut into any shape or size and then tempered.
